Megan Ottaviani began working at PCCS in Spring 2015 as an Instructional Assistant. She also partnered with the Math team and taught advanced Math in the Carson building. Though Mrs. Ottaviani thrived in the Carson building, she is excited to expand her role, using her experience in multiage classrooms, teaching 3rd and 4th grade in the Comstock Building. Prairie Crossing Charter School’s mission of sustaining the environment and incorporating the importance of the environment into the school curriculum excites her. She believes in small classroom sizes, multiage classrooms, and individual attention for each student. Mrs. Ottaviani has her Bachelor’s Degree in English, and continuing education for a Master’s in Education. As an avid equestrian enthusiast, and mother, the environment is extremely important to her as we must sustain the environment for animals and our children for the future. Mrs. Ottaviani enjoys all aspects of the outdoors, especially trail riding and hiking with her husband and daughters. She most enjoys the family atmosphere that PCCS offers, including the strong staff support and partnership. It truly provides students with a nurturing learning environment in which to thrive. Mrs. Ottaviani shares that her parents are her role models, because they instilled values that she has carried on to her children, including respect, the power of kindness, and perseverance. Her favorite quote is “Courage, Dear Heart” by C.S. Lewis.
