Mrs. Ottaviani
Megan Ottaviani began working at PCCS in Spring 2015. She began her journey as an instructional assistant and advanced Math teacher in the Carson building. She expanded her role, using her experience in multiage classrooms, teaching 3rd and 4th grade in the Comstock Building for two years. Though Mrs. Ottaviani thrived in the Comstock building, she welcomed the opportunity to return to the Carson building to teach 6th grade. Prairie Crossing Charter School’s mission of sustaining the environment and incorporating the importance of the environment into the school curriculum excites her. She believes in small classroom sizes, multiage experiences, and student centered learning. Mrs. Ottaviani has her Bachelor’s Degree in English, and continuing education for a Master’s in Education. As an avid equestrian enthusiast, and mother, the environment is extremely important to her as we must sustain the environment for animals and our children for the future. Mrs. Ottaviani enjoys all aspects of the outdoors, especially hiking with her husband and daughters. She most enjoys the family atmosphere that PCCS offers, including the strong staff support and partnership. It truly provides students with a nurturing learning environment in which to thrive. Mrs. Ottaviani shares that her parents are her role models, because they instilled values that she has carried on to her children, including respect, the power of kindness, and perseverance. Her favorite quote is “Courage, Dear Heart” by C.S. Lewis.
