Mrs. Loiacano
Mrs. Loiacano is excited to be a part of a team that values hands-on learning, student inquiry, and the way in which it all intertwines with the natural world around us. Her educational background includes a BA in hospitality business from Michigan State University and a degree in baking and patisserie from Le Cordon Bleu Las Vegas. While working in the hospitality industry Mrs. Loiacano rediscovered her love of teaching and completed her Masters of Education at Dominican University. Since then she has taught middle school language arts and culinary arts.
When she is not in the classroom you can find Mrs. Loiacano baking, gardening, kayaking, or walking through the many local forest preserves with her children and dogs. Mrs. Loiacano is excited to bring her love of reading, writing, and history together with her experience gardening, cooking, and enjoying nature with the 5th graders at Prairie Crossing Charter School.
