Free and Open to the Public | Refreshments Provided
Join Sierra Club, Livable Lake County, Representative Sam Yingling and other elected officials as we discuss environmental leadership in Lake County and Illinois.
Hear updates and provide input on:
– Transportation solutions for Lake County
– Clean energy initiatives your representatives are leading
As an environmental champion, Rep. Yingling has made it clear that he wants to hear from you about what Lake County can do to protect our most valuable assets—our woods, wetlands, biodiversity and open space. Come share your thoughts and concerns!
Furthermore, the state of Illinois is planning on passing a 2019 Capital Bill, a once-in-a-decade opportunity to help bring our roads up to date with much-needed infrastructure funds from the State. The town hall will feature some presentations and collective brainstorming sessions to actively engage one another in the task of publicly putting-forth pragmatic solutions to the challenges, frustrations and inequities we face when navigating our region.
Finally, learn about exciting new clean energy initiatives unfolding right now in Illinois!
Join friends, families, neighbors, elected officials and environmental experts as we come together to create a more sustainable and livable region and to define the county as a national leader in our transportation and environmental future.
This is part two of a 2-part town hall series. The first is April 27 with Mary Edly-Allen.
Bring your friends! We can’t wait to see you.
