Mrs. Crothers
Grade: 7-8th Grade Science
Room: 28
Sarah Crothers started working at PCCS as an instructional assistant in 2021, although her family has been a part of the school community since 2018 when two of her children began attending school here. She started her teaching career in 2006 as a 7th grade ELA teacher. After several years, she took some time off to raise and homeschool her children, and now she is thrilled to return to a lead teaching role as 7th and 8th grade Science teacher for the 2024/2025 school year!
An avid nature-lover, Mrs. Crothers loves the values of the environment, sustainability, and creating natural leaders that PCCS embraces. She enjoys spending time with her husband and five children, reading, taking her two dogs for a walk, organizing, and serving others. She loves Disney, Harry Potter, Starbucks, and all things sparkly. Mrs. Crothers considers herself a lifelong learner and strives to learn something new every day. She has a passion for teaching middle schoolers and considers it a privilege to help guide and support students as they begin to transition from elementary school to high school. Some interesting tidbits about Mrs. Crothers is that she and her husband have two adopted daughters from Latvia, she once sang the national anthem for a professional soccer game at Soldier Field, and she helped start women’s soccer in a small dual island nation in the Caribbean called St. Kitts and Nevis when she traveled there in high school with a boys team and the local girls saw her play with the boys. One of her favorite quotes is “One person can make a difference and everyone should try.”
