Heather Jackson joined the Prairie Crossing Charter School teaching staff in August 2013 for the environmental focus and close knit community. Mrs. Jackson earned a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Illinois Urbana- Champaign in 2012 with endorsements to teach math, science, social studies and language arts.

Mrs. Jackson enjoys spending time hiking, camping, disc golfing and playing with her dog. Her love of the outdoors inspires her science teaching because science is everywhere! Her favorite quote is “Many people need desperately to receive this message: ‘I feel and think much as you do, care about many of the things you care about, although most people do not care about them. You are not alone.” by Kurt Vonnegut. No matter how many times she has seen it, Mrs. Jackson cannot help but watch Mean Girls every time it is on TV!
