Mr. Thomas started at PCCS in 2014 with a desire to create exciting, fun and engaging activities and art projects for students; this is greatly influenced by his passion for gardening and environmental artwork. Mr. Thomas received his BA in Photography from Southern Illinois University of Carbondale and has a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education.

Outside of school, Mr. Thomas stays busy with his many hobbies such as photography, art, and reading. His lessons and activities in the art room are greatly influenced by his interest in environmental artists. His favorite quote is “An essential aspect of creativity is not being afraid to fail.” – Edwin Land.  Mr. Thomas’ favorite childhood book is The Lorax or Oh, The Places You’ll Go! By Dr. Seuss. He loves both of these books and would be hard-pressed to choose a favorite. The language and messages in each are beautiful and timeless.
