Remind App

If you have not signed up for Remind click the link- https://www.remind.com/join/aad4fk. This is a quick way to get a message to you or for you to get a message to me. This is used for time-sensitive messages. Parents have sent me messages when their child needs help in a breakout room. They also have asked what assignments the children should be working on during asynchronous learning. We have used this to remind students to log back onto Zoom.

Spelling

The students will be working on spelling again this week. We will be doing sort 17. There is a picture of this sort on Google Classroom. Please remind your child to study for the test on Friday.

Reading

During reading the students continued to read Chocolate Touch. The students have been learning new vocabulary words and answering questions about the book. We have discussed some very tough vocabulary words this past week. This week will continue reading Chocolate Touch.

Writing

This past week the students finished a narrative story. They worked on revising their writing into paragraphs and adding more details to the heart of the story. Next week the students will begin another narrative story.

This past week students solved multiplication problems using arrays and ratio tables. The students learned about double facts, double double facts (X4), and double double double facts (X8). Next week we will continue multiplication strategies. The students will also work on graphing.
