Mrs. Steinbeck’s Week 35 Review and Photos

This week we were pretty much back to a normal schedule which was actually nice. The weather was wonky so we had nice days and chilly days, it seemed to switch up every day. But we made the most of it and had a chance to be outside for music, PE, lunch, snack, and quiet spots.

This week we worked on the metric system in math and most kids have picked up on it very quickly. In social studies we continued to work on our Lewis and Clark project. The teams worked hard to move their boat along the Missouri river and everyone seemed to work well together. Some of the tasks involve a quick presentation so that the kids can share what they created or learned.

Reading groups have been going well and in writing they have been working on poems. This included writing, reading, and interpreting them. It’s been fun to read their poems.

I will take a quick second to show off a picture of me and my oldest before prom on Friday as I am a proud mom!

Speaking of moms, I would like to wish all of the moms a very Happy Mother’s Day! I know it’s not easy, but you all do a great job raising wonderful young people. It really is a joy to see them every morning.

Thank you so much for all the sweet Teacher Appreciation gifts, notes, flowers, fruits, drinks, sweets, and the scrip certificate. It truly is appreciated.

Have a great week!
