The last two weeks I did not post anything due to the shortened Thanksgiving week and last weekend I was out of town, but I’m back in the swing of things again. The kids and teachers alike are anxiously awaiting the start of winter break.
These past few weeks we have been having fun learning about sound in Science class. The students tested how sound can vibrate through a string when attached to a metal spoon and their ears! Another test involved using containers and listening to the sounds when you bang on the container after varying the contents. Everyone seemed to enjoy these activities.
Last week we did a Phenology lesson outside after a bit of snow had fallen, this is always a fun time.
Recess this past week was spectacular, as kids were able to take off their coats with these warmer than normal temperatures. It has made it so much easier to get outside, as well, since nobody needs snow pants.
As I was leaving a couple of days this week I was awarded with just gorgeous sunsets. I hope you got a chance to enjoy them too!
The upcoming week should be a fun one. I hope to see some of you at the Holiday Sing or the Holiday Party!
