It is hard to believe that we just finished our last FULL week of school! There are 4 days remaining in the school year, and they will be busy! This week we gave our extreme weather presentations to our classmates. Everyone worked so hard on the research, the posters, and presenting; it was wonderful to see how much everyone learned! The 4th grade math students spent the week doing a geometry review, and learning about symmetry and geometry terms. In writing, we reviewed types of poetry and wrote some of our own. The 3rd and 4th graders even wrote alliterations using their names and family members’ names. Some of the poems were quite the tongue twisters! We also worked on making little books that had a review of the school year. It was great to see how much everyone learned, and what their favorite parts of school were. All of the 3rd and 4th graders have been extremely helpful with helping to organize the classroom for the end of the school year, and seem anxious to take all of their folders home.
Next week will be very busy! On Tuesday, we will participate in field day all morning. Keep your fingers crossed that the weather will cooperate! Our field trip to Illinois Beach State Park will be on Wednesday. We will be leaving at 8:30 and returning before the end of the day. Thursday will be dedicated to getting the students packed up and ready for summer. Please send your child with large bags for packing! Friday will be Move Up Day (students get to spend time in the grade level that they will be in next year). We will also have our PBIS celebration and end of school year ceremony. After that, it’s SUMMER! Have a fantastic Memorial Day weekend!

- Pack a cold lunch – please no nuts!

- Friday, June 2nd – LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!
- Move-up day! (9:00-10:00)
- PBIS cookout and end of the year celebration!
- Early Release!
