Dear families,
It was truly a wonderful first week of school! We have been impressed with students’ engagement and positive community-building attitudes so far. Next week, we will continue to reinforce the expectations and routines that were introduced this week. We will also have students setting a goal for the trimester, so this may be a topic you wish to discuss with them over the weekend, in preparation. If your student is in Turner homeroom, you could inquire about what “puzzle pieces” are, and which class jobs they have for Trimester 1.
For any students looking to join an extracurricular, I am starting a session of CryptoClub for all students in the Carson Building (grades 5-8), which has students work on math standards through use of ciphered messages. You can find the flyer here; please let me know if I can answer any questions.
