We just finished the DIG unit last week. The students had such a great time learning how to be an archeologist. After digging up the other classes’ artifacts, some of the groups had a hard time determining what the artifact was and how it related to the culture of the other class. The students wrapped up the unit by creating a Google Slides Show to share with the opposing class. The opposing class then told them what the artifacts were really supposed to be and how they related to their culture. Finally, the students wrote a 3 paragraph reflection on the DIG unit explaining what they learned, what they liked, and what they would have changed if they were to do it again.
