Dear parents,
Another great week at PCCS! This week, all 5th — 8th graders began Explore, which was known last year as W.I.N. After filling out a survey on what students’ preferences were, all students in the Carson building went to their classes, which focused on subjects ranging from Astronomy, Storybird, and Cryptology to Playwriting, Ukulele, and Genius Hour. Some students qualified for extra support in reading for this rotation, and will be eligible for an elective choice in our second Explore rotation (which is planned to happen in November).
Elsewhere, we are continuing our study in Social Studies of how U.S. Presidents get elected. We are getting into some new vocabulary in Spanish, and studying natural resources in Science with Mrs. Neil.

October 6: Deadline to sign up for F2T (registration form can be found here)
October 10: No school (Columbus Day)
October 12: F2T
October 13: Boys’ basketball registration forms due (Form can be found here)
October 24: World Food Day (celebrating the week related to that)
