Science at Home: Liquids

*View all posts here*

Students have been investigating 6 mystery liquids the last couple of days and identifying properties that can be used to describe them. These key properties are:

Transparent – Clear; light and images pass through; may have color

Translucent – Light passes through, but not images

Viscous – thick; moves slowly

Color – has color

Bubbly – bubbles form inside; bubbles break at the surface

Foamy – tiny bubbles form a long-lasting layer on the surface

See if your student can find a liquid around the house using this activity page!
The three blanks listed under the properties are for if there are extra properties students notice.
If they do, have them bring the activity page to class to share. 🙂 We’d love to see it!
