Math Update 12/12

Today almost all of the groups finished up their survey data representations and we even got to do about 4 presentations! I’ve included with this message pictures of the data posters that finished today.

I’ve also made a gallery of these posters on my teacher webpage!
I’ve attached a PDF (M5) of the rules for our “guess my rule” game that we play in class.  To play at home you can use any collection you have: legos, ornaments, etc. and then choose to sort by different ‘rules’ as described in the game such as the shape or another specific attribute (number of pegs on a lego, color of an ornament). We’ve worked hard in class to define what is an opinion rule and not use them. An example of a rule that  would not be specific enough is the rule “ornaments that are cool.”  Players should choose a rule that anyone would be able to sort with the same answers every time no matter who was sorting.
