Today the students learned about measuring fish to find out if they are keepers or not! We are working on measuring 3 different sets of fish: mackerel, alewife, and perch. The students are measuring the fish with inch tiles and then deciding if the fish is a keeper based on it meeting the inch requirements for each specific type of fish. We will continue this activity over the next few days during a portion of each math class.
