It’s finally here! This week all grade levels will be celebrating Earth Week. That means that instead of regular classes, seventh grade students will be doing special activities to celebrate a different environmental topic each day. There is a Superhero theme this year. On Monday, the focus will be on reducing pollution. Both the 7th and 8th grade classes will be taking a field trip together to Waukegan Municipal Beach to complete a beach clean-up. All 7th and 8th grade students need to bring a peanut-free sack lunch and wear closed-toe shoes on Monday. On Tuesday, the focus will be on invasive species, on Wednesday the focus will be on ways to save energy, Thurday’s focus is on water conservation, and on Friday, the focus will be on spending more time outside – for both children and adults. We have different activities planned for each day of the week – be sure to ask your student what they did (and learned) each day!
