Today was the last day of the winter trimester, and report cards will be sent home next Friday via e-mail. At that time, the student-led conference sign-up will be sent out as well.
Student-led conferences
Conferences will be Thursday, March 9, from 2 pm until 6:30 pm. If you would like a meeting with a teacher, you can sign up for one from 4-4:30 or 6:30-7. If you can’t make it Thursday, there are also conference slots available Friday, March 10.
CP proposal posters
Students have been working on an endangered animals project with Chicago Wilderness during CP and are getting ready to propose ideas to help our four adopted species — the blue-spotted salamander, the rusty-patched bumblebee, the ellipse (a mollusk), and the little brown bat.
Each student is proposing a short- or long-term project that the group could work on to help their animal. On March 6, we will have a proposal fair during CP where students will present their research and plans. Each student needs a poster board (just a regular one or a tri-fold if they prefer) to work on at school.
After looking at the ideas, the students will choose a few of the ideas to get started on with the different teams.
Eagle Bluff forms
Finally, Eagle Bluff forms should have made it home to you this week. The forms and $100 deposit are due by Thursday, March 9. Contact Carol Flaig (cflaig@pccharterschool.org) with questions regarding the trip.
