Classroom Update 1/27

Tomorrow we celebrate School Choice Week!  Don’t forget to wear your yellow scarf that was given out last year. 🙂
Today we had 1 group able to test their phone prototype. Tomorrow will be a bit odd, with Farm to Table lunch, but hopefully we’ll get at least 1 group testing.
Students continued to work on finding examples for their table of contents page and will get a new feature to look for tomorrow. We also kept working on our “how to” books.

From Mr. Zamiar:
On Wednesday,  Jan 28, 2015 at 8:15 Prairie Crossing will gather to celebrate National School Choice Week. We should always remember that we are a school of choice and that we should support the continued opportunities schools like ours provide our students. Nowhere else can you go to experience an education as unique and important as that which you receive at Prairie Crossing Charter School.

But wait….that’s not all.  Following the assembly, we will all cheer on our talented spellers in the 2015 Prairie Crossing Spelling Bee.  Last year, Julia Retter outlasted all the challengers to take the crown, who will take over the throne this year and be crowned the 2015 Spelling Bee Champion.

Join us in the gym to celebrate our choice and our talented spellers.

(A not about that from Mrs. Kulbeda- we won’t be attending the spelling bee, as it is for 3rd grade and up. We’ll be going from the assembly to math so that we don’t miss a day of math instruction.)
