Classroom Update 1/23

Today the students got to see all their specials teachers!
During reading, the students also either found or cut out and glued their example of bold print into their non-fiction feature packet. Be on the lookout for bold print in books that you read this weekend. We talked in class about the job of bold print: to focus the reader’s attention on new or important words. The words can often be found in the glossary at the end of the book. We also had the opportunity to discuss how some books don’t use bold print to show new or important words; some use italic print or print the new or important word in color!
