Today we learned what our January Green Challenge is: save energy! Ms. Naomi gave us many ideas for ways that we could save energy and we will continue to discuss this all month.
In science the students did more activities with sound. They used paper cups with string between them to see if they could pass sound. Then they tried a few different things, like taunt and not taunt strings, to see if it would change or stop the sound that traveled on the string.
Today we got our first words of the week for 2015!
1st graders: week, something, bus, year
2nd graders: probably, through, against, hour, fight, once, best
Don’t forget, we’ve got early release tomorrow so we’ll be having just 1 late lunch/early snack.
