Attendance week begins on Monday, which means we will celebrate with School Spirit week as well.
Monday- Sports (clothing: favorite sports team)
Tuesday- Tie dye clothing
Wednesday- Hilarious hair or Hat
Thursday- PJ’s
Friday- Spirit wear PCCS
We have NWEA testing Wednesday, September 11th. Please make sure your student gets a good night’s sleep.
Social Studies
Students are learning about the power of advertising in our Economics unit. An upcoming field trip will connect to this unit at the end of the month. Please stay tuned for further information and permissions for this event.
4th grade Math
Students continue to model multiplication and division comparison equations. Students will complete a unit checkpoint on Monday in class. I will continue to post homework assignments on my daily calendar.
Daily 5
Students have mastered “read to self” and “read to someone” during our daily 5 rotations. We are also “working with words” and will add “listening to reading” next week.
Writing/Spelling
We are currently studying Narrative writing, specifically realistic fiction. We’ve brainstormed ideas as a class and will continue to build our writing skills.
Spelling sorts will begin on Monday with spelling tests taking place each week.
