Classroom News

Good Afternoon,
Conferences will be held on Monday, November 22nd with your students’ homeroom teacher. Please sign up for your students conference HERE. I look forward to meeting with you and your student.

Science:
Students completed their Adapted Beasts in class. This was a 2 part project that wraps up our unit on Evolution. Next week, we will begin our next unit, “Inside the Earth; Plate Tectonics: Earthquakes.”
Math A:
Math A has a Module Assessment on Monday. All students should study using their provided guide and by practicing on IXL.
Math B:
Math B completed their Mid-Module Assessment and students are writing and evaluating expressions to represent real-world scenarios.
Math C:
Students began their study of algebraic expressions and equations. They simplified algebraic expressions by combining like terms. Students recognized that there are multiple ways of representing a word problem algebraically. They wrote algebraic expressions and equations to model real-world situations. Next week, students will solve problems related to interest rate, principal, and time by creating algebraic equations and solving for an unknown variable.
