Hello Families,
PCCS is graciously purchasing shirts for the entire student body. Please complete this form no later than Monday, October 18th, so that I can submit sizes for our class. Thank you!
On Thursday, all math classes participated in Delicious Math! This month, students made a Quinoa Salad. The tomatoes, onions, and parsley were all grown here at PCCS. We substituted the vinaigrette for an oil/vinegar, seasoned to taste with salt/pepper dressing. I look forward to next month’s cooking extravaganza!
Math A
Students continue to explore and learn about unit rates. Students are working on using multiplication and division to factor specific unit rates from word problems. It is very important that students know their multiplication facts. Please assist your student by studying with them daily.
Math B
Students are adding integers using a number line. Students add positive and negative numbers and determine the absolute value. We will continue this skill next week in class.
Science
As a part of our Evolution Unit, students are working in small groups studying early Hominids. Students will present their research findings to the class beginning on Monday. I am very impressed with their teamwork and research skills!
Dates to remember:
