This week is Native American week for the 3/4 grade band. If you are able, please sign up here to volunteer for activities throughout the week. Thank you in advance! Additionally, at the end of Native American week, we will have a Pow Wow on Friday afternoon. Students will listen to Native American music, chants, and learn about their sacred traditions throughout the week. It is imperative that students are respectful to the cultural traditions and our Native American guests. We’ve discussed in class the type of music, chants, and items we will see and be exposed to. We also discussed the traditional attire that will be worn by our guests on Friday. We are really excited for the upcoming week and connecting activities to our curriculum.
