On Friday, I had the students participate in something that we do as a staff at PCCS. The students were given one index card (or more if requested) and they were asked to write an appreciation to any staff member at PCCS or any student in the Carson building. I explained to the students that appreciations needed to be specific. They could sign their name or leave it anonymous. Once all of the appreciations were turned in to the basket, I read some of them aloud. It was so wonderful to hear the kind words the students had to say about each other and the staff at PCCS. It was an excellent team building exercise and the perfect way to end Anti-bullying/PBIS week. The students get to keep these appreciations and look back on them whenever they need a little pick-me-up.
