Happy Friday everyone,

It has been an event-filled week; in addition to our academic endeavors, students experienced the first Farm-to-Table of the year, a lockdown drill, and spirit week. Today, students are coming home with their NWEA math & reading scores.

Thank you to everyone who has offered to send supplies for our Jubilee cooking day next Friday. You can start sending non-refrigerated items Monday, and refrigerated items on Wednesday. This exciting event would not be possible without the support of our awesome families; thank you!

In case we missed you at curriculum night this past Tuesday, you may access the presentation here. Some requests from the meeting are listed below as resources. Please let us know if you have any questions.

  • Book orders: using code 1FFDY, you may place orders on Scholastic Book Club to earn our class points and get new reading material for your child

  • Books for 6th grade: check out Scholastic, Common Sense Media, and Goodreads for book suggestions

  • Using Powerschool: we reviewed the process of checking grades on Powerschool. Students have directions saved in their email and should practice the habit of signing in often, to keep track of their academics. Their username and password are listed on the first page of their assignment book (same info as last year’s log-in)

  • Bi-monthly Current Events writing: linked here are three varied examples
