Greetings parents,
Here is the website to sign-up for a student-led conference on March 8th: rturner.youcanbook.me. I am looking forward to meeting with you all and letting students share their reflection on learning in 6th grade. Please review this pamphlet prior to attending, for guidance on questions to ask your child during their conference.
In ELA, students spent the week reading and writing about hoverboards, practicing their argumentative skills. In Social Studies, students have started researching a figure from Egyptian culture, who they will be writing a speech as. These figures include gods/goddesses as well as male and female pharaohs. This year we are planning to hold a Greek and Egyptian Wax Museum, which will likely take place in April or May. More details to come…
PARCC testing is on the horizon, 6th grade testing dates are as follows:
- ELA: March 20, 21, 22
- Math: April 3, 4, 5
Lastly, the 8th graders have rescheduled their Fun Fair event for March 16th. Hope to see you there!

Tuesday, 3/6: Green Assembly, 8:10 in the gym
Thursday, 3/8: Early Release, 1pm (Conferences)
Wednesday, 3/14: Early Release, 1pm; F2T registration due (A La Carte only)
Friday, 3/16: 8th Grade Fun Fair (4 PM to 10 PM)
