Greetings wonderful families,
In ELA this week, students were introduced to their lit circle book’s final project, the character bag. Click here to review the requirements, a suggested timeline to keep students on track, and the exact rubric I will be using to grade students’ work. This individual project is due the morning of Halloween (10/31).
In social studies we have officially started Bones & Stones, with students selecting a prehistoric name, practicing note-taking while reading background info and getting familiar with the unit’s vocabulary.
There are two upcoming volunteer opportunities for 6th grade parents & guardians:
- Wed 10/31, Halloween Party (in need of parent supervisors for classrooms as well as items donated), click here if interested
- Thurs 11/1, Primitive Day (in need of parents supervisors for a small group of students as they rotate to stations led by 6th grade teachers & PCCS staff), click here if interested
