Hello families,
It has been another week packed with learning. In ELA, students are in the midst of drafting their informational report about a dinosaur of their choice (rubric & other info here). Students also took notes on dystopian storytelling, in preparation of our new reading unit. Be sure to ask your child what book they will be reading as their lit circle novel. This unit will include reading homework and preparing for meetings with peers by completing one creative role/week & one page in the lit circle packet/week (due on Thursdays or Fridays).
In social studies, students are spending next week concluding their 3D maps of the Nile River – I will be sure to share pictures of the finished products. After completing the project, students will be taking a quiz to show their understanding both the Nile’s features and benefits to Ancient Egypt civilization.

A Box Top collection contest has begun, please send in any box tops you may have collected and we will get them turned in to this year’s coordinator, Mrs. Piwonski
