Greetings everyone,
It has been wonderful to spend this year’s School Choice Week and Peace Week acknowledging so many special aspects of being at PCCS, and spending our days together discussion strategies to keep our classroom a peaceful place. I hope students enjoyed the themed spirit days, and the opportunity to participate in designing a “peace corner” for the ELA/SS classroom.
Next week in ELA, students will be presenting their Global Issue slideshow. They will also be voting on a new read aloud book, so if anyone has suggestions please send them my way. In social studies, we will officially be entering Ancient Egypt. To start our unit, we touched on vocabulary words this week that students will teach about on Monday. From there, students will practice their informational reading skills using our Ancient Civilizations textbook.
