Today we chose groups and a national park to research for our project. This project will consist of a report/powerpoint, a hand-drawn map, and an oral report. The students will have 6 social studies class periods to work on this project. I know the students are very eager to start this project, but I have asked that they not work on this outside of school yet. I told the students that by next Wednesday 12/10 if they have finishing touches they would like to add at home, they can feel free to do so at that time. The project is due Monday 12/15. The students will have Monday 12/15 and Tuesday 12/16 to work on preparing for the oral presentation. Oral presentations will begin on Wednesday 12/17.
