Sixth Grade Gazette 2/24/17

Dear parents,

In Social Studies this week, students continued working on their passports. Their third travel logs, focused on a country in Africa, are due on Google Classroom Monday  After that, we will be moving on to Europe! In ELA, everyone has been working on a “Hometown Heroes” packet to practice comprehension through text marking, as well as argumentative writing.

In our specials, we continued our hockey unit with a game of broomball (PE), had a great lesson on marijuana from Mr. L (Health), watched videos of different performers singing the national anthem (Music), and enjoyed a well-earned “free-day,” watching a Spanish version of Finding Dory with English subtitles (Spanish).

Attached here is an order form for t-shirts for Earth Week, created by students and staff from the PCCS Green Team. Orders are due Monday, 3/20.

One more thing to look ahead to: Spring conference sign-ups will be sent out on Monday, 2/27 at 4 PM!
