Dear parents,
It was another great week at PCCS for 6th graders! At the Green Assembly on Tuesday, everyone brainstormed ideas on the best behaviors to display at school, as well as ways to incorporate the environment into our learning. Additionally, everyone has been making great progress on their campaign projects in Social Studies. Everyone is not only excited to rename the gym, but they seem to be learning a great deal about how to run a campaign. They have been making items such as bumper stickers, yard signs, and commercials to campaign for their environmental candidate. In Music, we have continued exploring everyone’s personal or group anthems. We have also been creating fancy letters in Art — everyone wrote a large letter that was the first letter of their name and gave them some very neat designs.
The first trimester ends today, November 4th. The parent portal will be turned off November 2nd through November 11th for teachers to prepare first trimester report cards. You will not be able to sign in or receive emailed progress reports during that time. Report cards will be sent home on Friday, November 11th.

November 9: Diwali Assembly — our class at 1:40 PM – 2:20 PM
- We will be accepting toiletry donations for the Cool Food Pantry Veterans Aid Program on the day of the event. Please bring shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, soap, toothbrushes, etc. for our veterans.

November 11: Veterans Day Assembly- 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM
