Teaching children how to tie their shoes can be a daunting task. Children tend to feel frustration with it and often when you are trying to get leave or are in a rush, it can be easier to just tie their shoes for them. Shoe tying takes great fine motor skills that children need to develop over time and develop at different rates. This is why practice is so important. So here lies the question, what technique do I use? Should I use bunny ears, one loop or are their other techniques out there? I’ve noticed that the loops can be difficult to learn because it takes more fine motor skills. I have found a video that has a new technique that I feel would be pretty easy for children to learn who are struggling with loops. Don’t get me wrong, what ever way that works for you and your child is great, I learned with the one loop method. I just feel that his could be a good resource for children who are struggle to tie their shoes with loops.
