Greetings 6th grade community,
We just plain miss you! As soon as we get the start signal, we are ready to begin working with students again. In the meantime, we highly encourage the following:
- Ensure that 6th grade child(ren) have completed the Zoom Student Contract; we are scheduling a Zoom video conference soon and do not want anyone to miss out
- Consider reviewing these resources with your child
- CoVid Social Story: aimed at a younger audience but could be a quick family read-aloud
- Blog on Staying Healthy and Balancing Time: fairly quick read and could lead to good discussion with your pre-teen
- As soon as administration provides directions regarding picking up materials from the classroom (mainly CB & charger, and/or personal items), gather what is needed so no one has to worry/stress about being prepared for eLearning
- UPDATE: I had suggested that students have their lit circle books at home – at this time, I believe that is not 100% necessary and there is no need to worry about making a trip to PCCS purely to procure a copy of their dystopian novel
- If you have not already done so, implement a routine at home. It helps to have a visual to hold everyone accountable, but it is also okay for you to experiment with trial & error until you find what works best for your family
As always, you have our complete support. Should your child/family need anything, please do not hesitate to reach out to us!
-Ms. Turner & Mr. Stewart
