In October, our Green Challenge was to encourage trash-free lunches and we came to realize that our students do an excellent job of using reusable containers and water bottles for lunch! It was interesting to pay attention to the amount of trash we accumulate at lunch. This month our challenge is to reuse and recycle items we no longer need. We are encouraging students to donate gently used items for the Christmas bazaar being held on December 3rd at PCCS. This is right around the corner, so students should bring in items as soon as possible – this will greatly help to ensure there are items for the bazaar and help raise money for our school (no clothing items please).
On Veteran’s Day, we had a chance to dress in our pajamas and enjoy a movie together in the morning, then participated in an assembly in the afternoon to honor our nation’s veterans. The first trimester ended at the beginning of November – just a reminder that a paper copy of the report card was sent home in an envelope and that envelope needs to be returned with a parent/guardian signature as soon as possible. Only 20 days until winter break!
