Newsletter – Week of 12/16/19

I wish you all a relaxing and enjoyable break! The students have worked so hard and deserve some time to sleep in, have some extra play time, and recharge their batteries for the second half of the school year. Reading over break is a great way to keep reinforcing literacy skills, and board games and card games teach math skills.

Here are a few quick notes on our week:

The students made Cheerio animal feeders. The challenge was to string the Cheerios in a pattern and count them. The kids enjoyed picking a special branch to hang the feeder on so they can keep track of how many Cheerios get eaten over time.

The Winter Sing was so much fun and the students enjoyed practicing, and memorizing the song, Winter Wiggles. We hope you enjoyed the performance!

Thank you very much to the parents who helped out with the Winter Party. A big shout out to Mrs. Ricchio, our Classroom Coordinator, for her efforts!

I look forward to seeing the kids back at school on January 6!
