Jubilee 2016

Good Afternoon ⅚ grade band families!

It is that time of the year again where our classrooms make delicious meals using our garden produce. This year’s “Tomato Jubilee” will consist of a Mexican theme, inspired by our ELA unit on Esperanza Rising. Each classroom will be making 2 dishes from scratch.

Our event will be held on Friday, September 9th from approximately 9:00 am to 11:30 am.

In order for us to make this event successful, we need your help! Monetary donations are being accepted now through next Wednesday so that we may purchase ingredients that are not donated for this event. You can send in a few dollars with your student to their homeroom class if you’d like, or sign up through our ingredient donation  sign up spreadsheet. Sign Up here!

The linked spreadsheet also shows all of the ingredients that we will be using in our recipes. In addition, we will designate One or two classrooms as gluten-free to accommodate food allergies.

Your homeroom’s classroom coordinator will be in touch as well to finalize details and coordinate volunteers for the event. We would love to have at least 3-4 volunteers per classroom to assist us in the morning and for clean-up. Please look for an email from your student’s homeroom classroom coordinator.
