Happy Mother’s Day and Thank You

Happy Mother’s Day! We hope all of the moms enjoy time with family and even a little bit of time just for themselves today. Also, we can’t thank you all enough for spoiling us during Teacher Appreciation Week last week. The notes, flowers, fruit, breakfast, coffee, and generous SCRIP certificates were VERY much appreciated. PCCS truly has the best parents!

In social studies this week, we will be working hard on our Taste of the World tri-fold posters and presentations. There are two assignments posted in Google Classroom for Taste of the World. The first one was assigned last Monday and was due on Friday, May 10th. The second was assigned on Friday and is due on Wednesday, May 15th. If you have questions about the project, the instructions for both of those assignments are also posted in Google Classroom. The due date for the project is Friday, May 17, but I’d like to have a majority of the work completed before then so we are ready to go. All food should be brought in on Monday, May 20th. The event will be held in the gym from 12:10-3:00. Please join us if you are free!
We are doing a short grammar review in ELA this week. We will also begin reading our final novel of the school year. Students will have a choice between two books, Red Scarf Girl and Journey to Jo’Burg. The novels will be introduced on Tuesday so students can make their selections and begin reading. Also on Tuesday, we will give spelling tests to Prodigies, SBSN Spellers, Teletubbies, Puppies and Tacocats. This will be the final spelling test for these groups.
