Good evening! I hope you have had a chance to chat with your child about our first day of fifth grade together. I had a great time getting to know everyone a little bit better, and I hope they enjoyed the day’s activities! Below you will find few pictures of our starting activity, “Find someone who(se)” BINGO.
Finding someone to say the alphabet backwards proved a challenge! (I ended up trying, and learned I could do it. Who knew?)

Our day continued from here with a Room 21/Carson building scavenger hunt, science with Ms. Stefans, and popsicles to celebrate a classmate’s birthday.
I am hoping to get us out on the trails tomorrow, but we will have to see what the weather is like. I informed students that they should come prepared with comfortable walking shoes and a water bottle tomorrow. We will be journaling and completing some PCCS-tailored trail activity cards.
Also, students should have come home with a Laptop Agreement form today. Once the form and a check have been returned to the office, Mr. Coonan will distribute a Chromebook to your child. I am thrilled about the variety of opportunities this technology will bring into our classroom. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the Chromebooks.
