This Tuesday, we had a Green Challenge Assembly. For the assembly, we took part in a game show all about what we can do to conserve electricity. Through the game show questions, we were able to learn many different facts about the use of electricity and how to conserve the use of electricity.
Did you know …
microwaves are a big user of electricity…using anywhere from 1500 – 1800 watts…depending on the model?
a house’s heating and cooling system adds the most to the electricity bill?
unplugging a printer when it is not in use can save about $130 over the course of a year?
This month, we are going to look at how we conserve electricity here at school, and how we can do more both here and at home. It should be fun!
