Friday Feature (3/11)

We hope you enjoyed looking at your child’s portfolio during the student led conferences this week. It’s a wonderful opportunity for the class to show you the exciting things that have been happening at PCCS this year!
With so much to see at the Milwaukee Public Museum, we had a busy day visiting the museum on Wednesday. Thank you to our parent chaperone, Christine Crow, for accompanying us on this trip. We saw several exhibits including the Crossroads of Civilizations, which highlighted many important contributions of Egypt and other ancient civilizations, and Living Oceans which allowed the students to explore life under the surface. Aligned with both our social studies and science curriculum, these two exhibits enabled the kids to extend their learning outside of the classroom.
Work continues on our god and goddess masks for the Wax Museum, which our class will present next Wednesday, March 16th. And our Literature Circles continue in ELA as the class works in small groups to explore the theme of a dystopian society in literature.
Just a reminder that commitment forms and a $50 deposit for our trip to Starved Rock should be turned into the office as soon as possible. Also next Friday, March 18th, is our last attendance day before our week long Spring Break.
