Although our 2nd trimester comes to an end today, the hard work continues in our classroom. In ELA we are looking for main ideas and supporting details in a variety of non-fiction texts. These texts, whose subject matter ranges from migration to human rights, are related to the books we are reading for our literature circles. In social studies, we studied Egyptian hieroglyphs and created a personal cartouche from our first and last names.
Congratulations to Omar for his strong showing in the regional Spelling Bee this Wednesday. Omar represented PCCS well and placed in the top seven from a group of outstanding spellers. Way to go, Omar!
As the temperatures warm up, we often see puddles and mud on the playground and trails. Please continue to send your child with boots as well as a pair of shoes to wear in the classroom. Thank you!
