Earth Week 2016 plans:
***Monday (4/18): directly following the opening assembly for Earth Week, there is a volunteer appreciation event.
Also Monday, 5/6 will be cooking Greek cuisine in correlation with our SS unit. We will also be building new Leopold benches outside of the classrooms. We are looking for volunteers and donations to make this exciting event possible; please sign-up here.
***Tuesday (4/19): The Wildlife Discovery Center will be bringing animals to PCCS and presenting to our grade-band. We are very excited and ask that you fill out the attached permission slip for your student and return, along with the $7.00 fee, to your classroom teacher no later than Monday, April 11th.
***Wednesday (4/20) is an early release day. Students will be creating “superhero trash-ion” to go with the week’s theme of defeating 5 Eco-villians. You may begin sending supplies in for creating these “trash-ion” pieces as early as Monday (4/18).
***Thursday (4/21): We will be going on a bike trip to Independence Grove (weather permitting). All students must bring a bike to school, as well as a helmet, in order to attend (please confirm with us using the form emailed home or the digital form here).
***Friday (4/22): We will be completing the Earth Week committee’s scavenger hunt, as a class. The Closing Ceremony assembly will take place at 12:00.
