For the past couple of weeks, the students have been working hard starting to gather information for their research papers. We brainstormed a list of questions that we need to try to find the answers to for our paper. This helped the students to begin to organize their notes. We also developed a Google Doc that has each question listed and then the answer to question next to it. We’ve learned that paleontologists know more about certain dinosaurs than others and that some questions may be left unanswered. The students also learned how to use the EasyBib extension to cite their sources as they research. We will continue doing research in class on Monday and Tuesday. The students have been told that the research needs to be completed by Monday 11/30 so we can begin organizing our rough drafts.
