This Tuesday, we were able to go out with our Book Buddies near the end of the day. They told us about a project called “Kindness Stones” that they learned about during Earth Week. The project’s mission is states they believe that “One message at just the right moment can change someone’s entire day, outlook, life.” People who join the project collect rocks, paint them, and put an inspiring messages on them. They then go out and put them all over the place so that people can find them.
Our Book Buddies told us they found some over by Lake Leopold and the flag pole there!
We paired up with our book buddies and made our way over to search for the stones. Everyone was able to find some and to pick one to bring home. Hopefully you have seen your student’s stone!
