Early this week everyone should be notified of their classroom assignment for this next school year.  If I am lucky enough to have you in our classroom family for the next two years, then read on!

My summer of adventure and fun is winding down and it is time to change gears and put the “teacher hat” back on! This year we will have a ton of fun and enjoy learning together.  Mrs. Krissek and I are looking forward to meeting you all on Thursday night.  Be sure to bring your supplies if at all possible to drop them in the room.  This makes everything much easier for the first day of school for both you and us.

We do have class pets, Robert and Matthew, Guinea pigs named for the famous “discoverers” of the North Pole. Hopefully we will not have any allergies to our fuzzy friends!  Let me know if there will be a problem and we can work around it.

I will send home a small packet of information on classroom management next week.  In class I will review all expectations with your child and ask that you review it at home as well.  All of the expectations for the classroom and surrounding areas conform to the school’s PBIS philosophy.  A parent information form (for our class only) will come home for you to complete also.

At any time you can contact me through the school email.  I will answer your question within 24 hours, most likely before.  I check email before school, during lunch, and after school.  If you have an emergency, please call the office in addition to notifying both Mrs. Krissek and me via email.

Looking forward to a wonderful two years with you and your child.

Cynthia McGovern
