Helen Trage began working at PCCS in August 2016 as an Instructional Assistant. Her family has been a part of PCCS for the past 9 years. She was drawn to PCCS because of its environmental focus in everyday learning and its dedication to academic excellence. Mrs.Trage has a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice and business law from Northeastern Illinois University and worked in the real estate and mortgage industries for over 10 years. Prior to working at PCCS she stayed home with her children and was a very active volunteer at the school and with the Boy Scouts of America. She grew up camping with her family and loves to spend time outdoors especially in her garden. Her favorite activities include gardening, camping, biking, and hiking and she is looking forward to sharing her love and respect for nature with her students. One interesting thing people might not know about her is that she loves to travel and has been to Russia twice and to Greece three times. One of her dreams is to race around the world on The Amazing Race. Her favorite quote is, “You must do the things you think you cannot do.” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt Her favorite childhood book is The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown because it is full of imagination and a sweet story about unconditional love.
